Job Summary
To ensure seamless patient experiences, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage insurance verification, coordinate scheduling for diagnostic imaging, and provide exceptional customer service while interacting with patients and healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities
- Completing insurance verification and obtaining necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
- Scheduling complex exams and managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on exam preparation
- Monitoring and managing communication channels, including email and voicemail, to ensure timely responses and documentation
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing preferred
- Over one year of experience in customer service or client relations
- Experience in an office or hospital environment preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
