Job Summary
To ensure seamless scheduling and authorization processes, the full-time Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will provide exceptional customer service while managing patient communications, coordinating diagnostic imaging, and verifying insurance information in a fully remote role.
Key responsibilities
- Completing insurance verification and obtaining necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
- Scheduling complex exams and managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on exam preparation
- Monitoring and managing communication channels, including email and fax, to ensure timely responses and documentation
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing is preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in an office or hospital environment is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with hospital systems and high-volume call center experience is preferred
