Job Summary
To ensure seamless coordination of diagnostic imaging and procedures, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage patient communications, insurance verifications, and scheduling tasks while providing exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Completing insurance verification and authorization processes for scheduled patients
- Scheduling complex exams and managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls
- Monitoring and managing communication channels, including email and fax, for assigned practices
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in an office or hospital environment is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with hospital systems and high-volume call center experience preferred
