Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary

To support a dynamic healthcare environment, the full-time Scheduling Specialist will manage pre-registration, scheduling, and insurance verification processes remotely while ensuring optimal patient flow and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Pre-registers patients and verifies insurance eligibility and demographic information
• Handles complex scheduling events and communicates effectively to enhance patient flow
• Collects patient financial responsibilities and reminds patients of necessary documentation for appointments

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two to five years of experience in scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access
• Experience with Cisco Finesse Phone System and Epic strongly preferred
• Demonstrated customer service experience in a high-volume healthcare call center
• Strong understanding of Windows Operating System and ability to navigate multiple screens effectively
