Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary

To support scheduling for PET scans in Southeast Michigan, the full-time remote Scheduling Specialist will manage pre-registration, insurance verification, and complex appointment scheduling while collaborating on performance improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Research, collect, and analyze data to identify opportunities and develop solutions for scheduling efficiency
• Distribute analytical reports and collaborate on performance improvement activities to enhance patient experience
• Utilize multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two to five years of experience in scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access
• National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire
• Proficiency in Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems and related software
• Comprehensive knowledge of scheduling systems and complex diagnostic testing appointment processes
