Job Summary
To ensure timely and efficient patient appointment scheduling for Durable Medical Equipment (DME), the fully remote Scheduling Specialist will coordinate deliveries, conduct training for new hires, and manage urgent requests while providing exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate delivery appointments for DME, PAP, and oxygen equipment based on patient needs and technician availability
- Manage emergency and urgent requests, prioritizing critical patient needs such as oxygen deliveries and equipment failures
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and generate performance reports for management review
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, customer service, or administrative support preferred
- One year of work-related experience required; additional experience may be necessary for higher specialist levels
- Advanced proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of DME, PAP, and oxygen therapy equipment and patient care requirements
