Job Summary
To ensure timely and effective staffing for home care cases, the part-time hourly Scheduling Specialist will manage caregiver-client schedules, maintain accurate electronic records, and communicate with both caregivers and clients in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinates client and caregiver schedules, filling open shifts with appropriate caregivers based on care plans and service needs
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date schedules in scheduling software while communicating regularly with clients and caregivers about service satisfaction
- Identifies opportunities for new client services and participates in staff meetings to discuss operational improvements
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of previous experience, particularly in homecare scheduling
- Experience working with the elderly and/or disabled, demonstrating a compassionate attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with scheduling software
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple schedules and prioritize tasks effectively
