Scientific Advisor, Gene Therapy

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Scientific Advisor, Target Discovery and External Innovation Liaison.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate activities and relationships for discovery-stage innovation, collaborating with internal groups on project execution
• Support data-driven decision making and align on resourcing options with Gene Therapy leadership and functional teams
• Manage timelines and documentation for project execution, ensuring alignment with organization-wide priorities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field with 5+ years of industry experience in gene therapy
• Minimum of 2 years in a business development or external innovation role
• Experience with proof-of-concept studies, including in vitro and in vivo study design
• Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and influence cross-functional efforts
• Passion and knowledge in rare disease or genetic medicine, including gene therapy and gene editing
