Job Summary
A company is looking for a Scientific Computing & Geospatial Engineer to support large-scale hydrologic and geospatial data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build high-throughput raster and terrain processing pipelines for flood mapping and terrain analysis
- Develop and maintain cloud-native geospatial data pipelines across various formats
- Collaborate with hydrologists and scientists to translate domain requirements into reliable software
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, geospatial science, hydrology, or a related field (MS or above preferred)
- 3+ years of relevant software development experience
- Strong scientific Python experience including libraries such as numpy, pandas, and geopandas
- Experience processing large geospatial datasets using GDAL or similar tools
- Familiarity with AWS storage and compute workflows
