Scientific Director, Oncology

Job Summary

To support various therapeutic areas including Rare Disease, the full-time Scientific Director, Oncology will manage the planning, development, and oversight of scientific content for assigned accounts, working remotely or onsite in Stamford, CT.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Group Scientific Director to provide strategic medical communication recommendations that align with brand goals
• Independently lead the execution of content development activities and supervise Associate Scientific Directors
• Liaise with in-house and freelance staff to manage writing tasks, including background research and data-checking

Required qualifications

• An advanced degree in science is required
• Five or more years of relevant experience with promotional medical education content
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret scientific data and manage projects under tight deadlines
• Experience with established medical editorial processes and ethical guidelines
• Oncology experience is required
