Scientific Programmer III

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Scientific Programmer III to support the migration and modernization of scientific applications into cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation code supporting CI/CD tooling such as GitLab Runner
• Design and implement Python-based applications, containerized solutions, and Kubernetes workloads within CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cloud teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of Kubernetes-based applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or a related discipline
• 4+ years of experience migrating scientific applications to a cloud environment
• Demonstrated experience programming in Python, using Docker containers, and Kubernetes within CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with Cloud Service Providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices
