Scientific Review Manager
Job Summary
Overseeing the technical execution of peer reviews, the full-time Scientific Review Manager will manage the scientific review process for research programs, supervise Scientific Review Officers, and ensure the scientific integrity of panels in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the scientific peer review process, including planning and workload management
- Supervise and direct Scientific Review Officers in the recruitment of reviewers and execution of peer review panels
- Oversee quality assurance of Summary Statements, ensuring adherence to scientific guidelines and accuracy
Required qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant biomedical, clinical, or scientific discipline (PhD preferred)
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in managing complex scientific peer review panels or biomedical research evaluation
- Proven supervisory experience leading teams of scientific or technical professionals
- Deep understanding of federal scientific review processes and Conflict of Interest management
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and pass required background checks
