SCOM Monitoring Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SCOM Monitoring Analyst for a 6-month contract to hire, fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monitoring framework, including planning, health checks, software patching, and performance analysis
• Monitor and troubleshoot configurations related to network, systems, and application performance
• Develop and manage cross-platform monitoring architecture and reporting processes for capacity and availability

Required Qualifications

• Deep understanding of System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and its components
• Experience with SCOM installation, upgrades, and patching
• Proficiency in Visual Studio Authoring Extensions (VSAE) for management pack development
• Strong PowerShell skills for custom monitoring and scripting
• Ability to troubleshoot SCOM agent health and performance issues
