Scrum Master
Job Summary
Supporting Agile delivery teams for a major modernization initiative, the full-time remote Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, guide teams in Agile practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance team performance and project delivery within the Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
- Guide teams in adopting Agile principles and improving collaboration while managing product backlogs
- Monitor team progress and delivery outcomes, identifying and removing impediments to enhance performance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development or IT modernization programs
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching cross-functional technical teams
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
