Job Summary
To support the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the part-time hourly Seasonal Computational Research Assistant will leverage AI/ML to build predictive models for environmental impacts, manage Big Data analytics, and maintain the codebase on GitHub while presenting progress at weekly meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Leverage advanced AI/ML to build predictive models for hydroclimate extremes
- Manage Big Data analytics involving remote sensing and climate/hydrologic model outputs
- Maintain the codebase on GitHub and present progress at weekly group meetings
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Math, Engineering, or a related scientific/technical discipline
- Strong background in AI/ML
- Proficiency in Python and data analysis
- Experience carrying out research protocols and tests
- Excellent communication skills
