Seasonal Email Security Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting the Email Security team, the part-time Seasonal Email Security Analyst will manage operational tasks, Microsoft 365 administration, and email security project execution while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Support administration, monitoring, and tuning of email security platforms, including Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Exchange Online Protection
• Assist with investigations of phishing, BEC, spoofing, and other email threats, analyzing email headers and message traces
• Utilize scripting languages to automate email security tasks and improve operational efficiency through documentation and process improvements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience in email security, information security, or related technical roles
• Experience investigating suspicious emails, phishing reports, and other email-based threats
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 email administration and security tools
• Understanding of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and common email authentication concepts
