Job Summary
Responsible for developing high-quality tax content and integrating it into TaxAct software, the part-time Seasonal Tax Analyst Programmer will research federal and state tax laws, design user-friendly interview questions, and ensure the accuracy of tax calculations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Research and implement complex federal and state tax laws into the tax software
- Write and design plain talk interview questions to assist users in completing their tax returns
- Review test case scenarios to ensure accuracy of tax calculations and mentor newer tax analysts
Required qualifications
- BS/BA in Business Accounting or equivalent related experience
- 2+ years of experience in federal and state taxation across multiple categories
- Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration and communication
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- CPA or EA certification is a plus
