Seasonal Writing Tutor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Async Writing Tutor (Seasonal).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide thorough, insightful, actionable written feedback on student essays and writing assignments
• Meet synchronously with students via a virtual classroom to enhance their writing skills
• Familiarize with a variety of writing topics, including health sciences and argumentative essays

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of college/university Writing Center tutoring experience
• 3.5 GPA or higher with a transcript from a writing intensive program
• Access to reliable Internet and proficiency in MS Word/Google Docs
• Commitment to 15-25 hours per week during peak periods (February 1 - May 15)
• Familiarity with the Socratic method of tutoring
