Job Summary

A company is looking for a Department Chair, Secondary Science.

Key Responsibilities

• Inform the vision and strategy for the Secondary Science department and align curriculum with best practices
• Manage and develop faculty to ensure high-quality instruction and student support
• Teach courses while providing culturally responsive feedback to students

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience in Secondary Science (Grades 7-12)
• Graduate degree (masters and/or doctorate) in a relevant educational field
• Experience teaching or coaching adult learners through collegiate courses or professional development
• Proven project management skills and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
• Experience promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives
