Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Middleware Engineer with a Secret security clearance, this remote position focuses on designing, developing, and deploying custom middleware solutions to support a government Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) initiative, ensuring integration between legacy applications and modern identity systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom middleware solutions and integration tools for legacy applications
- Engineer custom connectors and APIs to facilitate integration with Okta IdP and SailPoint IIQ
- Analyze legacy application architectures to identify integration gaps and design middleware solutions that align with modern identity protocols
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software or systems engineering, with at least 3 years in middleware development or API engineering
- Experience designing custom integration solutions, including REST APIs and SOAP web services
- Familiarity with enterprise identity platforms and protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM
- Active Secret clearance and eligibility for CAC-card issuance and NIPRNet access
