Job Summary
Detail-oriented and experienced, the part-time Section 508 Compliance Tester will ensure that all digital deliverables and training products meet federal accessibility standards and Quality Assurance benchmarks while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated accessibility testing against Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards
- Identify non-compliance defects and provide actionable remediation guidance early in the development lifecycle
- Maintain complete compliance documentation and track compliance defects for development teams
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or Associate's degree, or equivalent technical training/certification in digital accessibility or quality control
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Section 508 testing or e-learning quality assurance
- Proficiency in conducting manual and automated Section 508 accessibility testing
- In-depth understanding of WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards
- Experience with screen readers, keyboard navigation testing, and auditing digital document formats
