Security Advocate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Security Advocate to drive awareness and preference for their security solutions within application security and software development communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security research and publish findings to educate security and developer audiences
• Create compelling content to address security education gaps and engage the community
• Build relationships and lead workshops to establish the company as a go-to solution for secure coding

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities in web applications and APIs
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, and Go
• Experience with application security testing methodologies and secure coding practices
• Proven public speaking experience and ability to engage with technical communities
• Previous experience in a developer relations role or similar public-facing community position
