Security Analyst

Job Summary

To support the VA.gov Platform team, the full-time remote Security Analyst will design and implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, analyze security metrics, and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance and security for Veteran-facing digital products.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engineers and security SMEs to enhance IAM solutions for VA.gov products
• Analyze security metrics and trends to inform security architecture decisions
• Develop and document requirements for IAM solutions, including identity lifecycle and access workflows

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience focused on cybersecurity
• Solid understanding of IAM concepts, including identity lifecycle and access management
• Experience building logging and monitoring solutions with Splunk, Loki, or AWS CloudWatch
• Strong background in requirements definition and implementation experience
• Bachelor's Degree
