Security Analyst

Job Summary

Focusing on configuring security monitoring tools and building a security monitoring program, the full-time salaried Security Analyst will work remotely to enhance security operations through automation and data-driven monitoring while collaborating with cross-functional teams and reporting directly to the CISO.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, deploy, integrate, and monitor security tools, connecting various data sources into the Huntress SIEM
• Review security baselines and work with IT to identify and close configuration gaps
• Assist in monitoring security controls for compliance assessments and improve detection and response through active participation in exercises

Required qualifications

• BS/BA degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, or a related technical field
• 2-4 years of experience in security, IT, or a related technical role, including internships and relevant certifications
• Familiarity with SOC2, HITRUST, or HIPAA compliance standards
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go, with a willingness to learn
• Experience with security tools such as AWS, M365 Entra, Huntress, or similar platforms
