Security Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a temporary basis, the Security Analyst will monitor and triage security alerts, analyze logs from various tools, and document and escalate security incidents while supporting endpoint and network monitoring in a fast-paced SOC environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for triaging security alerts and escalate issues to senior analysts as needed
• Correlate and analyze data from SIEM, EDR, and firewall logs, documenting incidents in ticketing systems
• Participate in shift handovers and daily SOC briefings, following standard operating procedures for security operations

Required qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in IT or security operations, including internships or bootcamps
• Basic understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and incident response phases
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, log analysis, and common indicators of compromise (IOCs)
• Knowledge of security concepts, including the CIA triad, types of malware, and phishing
• Foundational security certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CySA+, GSOC) or pursuing certification
