Security Analyst
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Security Analyst will monitor cloud infrastructure security, analyze security alerts, and investigate incidents to ensure compliance with federal security requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Cloud Operations and Maintenance program
- Monitor cloud infrastructure security using tools like Splunk and SIEM platforms
- Investigate and respond to security incidents following CMS security guidelines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science
- 3+ years of experience as a system administrator or analyst
- Preferred certification in Security+ or similar security certifications
- Knowledge of network traffic flow and cloud computing
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
