Security Automation Engineer
Job Summary
Contributing to the growth of the Security Operations team, the remote Security Automation Engineer will develop and maintain automation playbooks and workflows within SOAR and XDR platforms, focusing on enhancing incident response and reducing manual workloads.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain automated playbooks and integrations across Palo Alto XSOAR and Cortex XSIAM
- Collaborate with SOC analysts to identify and automate manual workflows, improving response consistency
- Evaluate playbook performance and iterate based on analyst feedback and operational data
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a SOC analyst, with senior analyst experience preferred
- 1-2 years of experience working with a SOAR platform, preferably Palo Alto XSIAM or XSOAR
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Certifications such as Palo Alto Cortex, CompTIA Security+, or similar
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks
