Security Control Assessor

Job Summary

Supporting a high visibility rapid prototyping project, the remote Security Control Assessor will independently assess the implementation and effectiveness of security controls, review RMF documentation, and validate security controls while collaborating with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Security Control Assessor in assessing security controls and documenting findings
• Review key RMF documentation, including System Security Plans and Security Assessment Reports
• Communicate assessment results and recommend corrective actions for identified deficiencies

Required qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of all RMF phases and NIST 800-53 controls
• Experience in network-related security control assessment planning and execution
• Proficiency in reviewing and validating RMF documentation (SSP, SAP, SAR)
• Hands-on testing experience with security controls
• Ability to document findings and support risk management activities
