Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Security Engineer to own security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve the company's security posture by owning application security, cloud infrastructure, operational security, and IT security
• Assess, prioritize, and drive the security roadmap, balancing quick wins with long-term improvements
• Run incident response and external security operations, including managing vulnerability reports and coordinating fixes

Required Qualifications

• Experience owning security at a growth-stage company or a strong software engineer transitioning into security
• Proficiency in shipping production TypeScript and building tooling
• Broad knowledge across security domains, including AppSec, CloudSec, and OpSec
• Fluency in cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP, including VPCs, IAM, and secret management
• Self-directed with the ability to execute on multiple fronts without waiting for direction
