Security Engineer

Job Summary

Building and improving the security foundations of a robust platform, the full-time Security Engineer will focus on API keys, service permissions, secrets management, and enhancing detection and response mechanisms while working remotely in European or American time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance security foundations, including API keys, service permissions, and internal access controls
• Design secure defaults for new services, tools, and deployment pipelines
• Review and update processes to ensure security is integrated throughout development

Required qualifications

• Experience securing production infrastructure, cloud environments, or multi-tenant SaaS products
• Proficiency in coding and familiarity with application and infrastructure code
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, IAM, and secure deployment practices
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently as the first dedicated security hire
• Commitment to practical security improvements and a focus on developer experience
