Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing IT Security function, the full-time remote Security Engineer will apply risk management principles, conduct security control reviews, and assist with vulnerability management and incident response efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and reduce security risks across various environments, including cloud and applications
• Perform security control reviews and gap assessments to enhance the organization's security posture
• Monitor alerts and investigate security events to support incident response and remediation efforts

Required qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in IT security, cloud security, or security operations
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure security services
• Foundational knowledge of PCI DSS or similar compliance frameworks
• Strong written communication skills for documentation and reporting
• Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal oversight
