Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning day-to-day operations in a remote environment, the full-time Security Engineer will manage, tune, and optimize enterprise security tools, ensuring operational excellence and effective support for security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and maintain endpoint detection and response agents across various operating systems while coordinating updates and patches
• Configure and optimize AI-assisted detection automations and security controls to enhance platform capability
• Maintain dashboards, alerts, and reporting on tool health, documenting configurations and operational procedures to ensure team consistency

Required qualifications

• 2-3+ years of IT security operations experience, with hands-on experience with endpoint security and vulnerability management platforms
• Strong understanding of security tool operations, configurations, and optimizations, with a basic understanding of AI/ML concepts in security
• Technical proficiency with Windows event logs, endpoint OS internals, and command line analysis
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot security tool misconfigurations and operational issues
• Strong documentation skills for creating processes and communicating technical concepts effectively
