Security Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as the advanced escalation point for security operations, the full-time Security Engineer will manage incident responses, conduct root cause analyses, and oversee vulnerability management to enhance client security in a 24x7 managed services environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead escalations for complex alerts and act as incident commander, coordinating response and post-incident analysis
• Monitor configuration drift and execute remediation plans for vulnerabilities within defined SLAs
• Engineer protections across M365 security tools and optimize threat protection measures to reduce risk

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business or a computer-related field or equivalent education/experience
• Certifications such as Microsoft SC-200/SC-300/SC-400, AZ-500; GIAC (GCIH/GCED/GCIA), CISSP, or equivalent experience
• 4-6 years of experience in SOC/IR or security engineering within an MSP or enterprise environment
• Demonstrated expertise with security tools including MDR/EDR/SIEM, VM, PAM, ZTNA, and M365 security
• Strong scripting and automation experience, particularly with Python and PowerShell
