Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive health information, the full-time remote Security Engineer will leverage deep technical expertise to protect patient data while adhering to regulatory standards such as HIPAA.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage security controls to safeguard sensitive health information
• Collaborate with IT operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Utilize cloud service providers and security frameworks to enhance security posture

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in security engineering
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Current information security certification (CISSP, CSSLP, CCFP, CISM)
• Familiarity with HIPAA, NIST, SOC2, and HITrust security controls
