Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support automation and operational engineering initiatives, the contract-to-hire Security Engineer will work remotely to design, implement, and maintain secure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support secure automation and operational engineering solutions
• Design and implement operational workflows to enhance efficiency and resilience in security processes
• Provide hands-on engineering support for security systems and collaborate with stakeholders to integrate security principles into deployments

Required qualifications

• College degree in technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operational engineering, automation, or security engineering
• Intermediate proficiency in Python and PowerShell development
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines
• Strong networking knowledge, including micro-segmentation and hybrid cloud environments
