Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance digital accessibility security, the full-time salaried Security Engineer will triage security alerts, manage vulnerability tools, and operate the security awareness program while working remotely from Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial triage of security alerts to assess severity and respond to potential incidents
• Monitor vulnerability management tools, providing remediation guidance to teams to control technical risk
• Operate the security awareness program, including course design and phishing simulations, to strengthen organizational security

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, plus 1-3 years of experience in information security, or equivalent experience of 4-6 years
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
• Familiarity with business AI tools like Microsoft Copilot or Atlassian Rovo
• Experience in a professional IT environment supporting a remote workforce with SaaS-based tools
