Security Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract-to-hire basis, the Security Engineer will provide technical expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting automation and operational engineering solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support secure automation solutions to enhance security and infrastructure processes
• Design operational workflows and remediation capabilities to improve efficiency and resilience
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security principles are integrated into engineering designs and deployments

Required qualifications

• College degree in technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operational engineering, automation, or security engineering
• Intermediate proficiency in Python and PowerShell for scripting and automation
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools like GitHub or GitLab
• Strong networking knowledge, including micro-segmentation and hybrid cloud environments
