Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support the organization's cybersecurity initiatives, the remote Security Engineer will monitor, assess, and improve the security of cloud infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systems while focusing on vulnerability management and incident response in a 3-month contract role.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enhance the security of cloud environments and enterprise systems
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage incident response efforts
• Implement best practices for security operations and develop security standards and documentation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Strong understanding of network security concepts and cloud security, particularly in AWS and Azure
• Experience investigating security incidents and implementing corrective actions
• Familiarity with encryption, authentication, authorization, and security best practices
