Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a dynamic cybersecurity environment, the remote Security Engineer will manage application security vulnerability processes, oversee cloud security operations, and conduct risk assessments while collaborating closely with development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with development teams to manage application security vulnerabilities and assist with remediation in a Clojure ecosystem
• Configure and monitor cloud security posture using various security operations tools to detect and respond to threats
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments on internal architecture and third-party vendors to ensure compliance with corporate standards

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering and/or cybersecurity, with a strong foundation in Computer Science or Cyber Security
• Hands-on experience coding in Clojure and familiarity with the JVM environment
• Experience securing modern cloud infrastructures and incident response
• Ability to design security frameworks that address root causes of vulnerabilities in dynamic environments
• Baseline certifications such as CompTIA Security+; advanced credentials like CISSP are preferred
