Security Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting fellow engineers in a remote environment, the full-time Security Engineer will operate and sustain technology platforms in Identity and Access Management (IAM), AI, and Cloud while contributing to the security of cloud infrastructure and AI/ML pipelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate and sustain Chainguard's technology platforms, including cloud, IAM, and AI
• Implement and maintain access controls, identity policies, and authentication/authorization systems
• Assist in securing AI/ML pipelines and hardening cloud infrastructure alongside senior engineers

Required qualifications:

• Strong IT administration skills and/or a software development background
• Hands-on experience in at least one area: IAM, AI/ML infrastructure, or cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Basic understanding of security practices is a plus, with a desire to grow in the field
• Comfort with scripting, automation, and troubleshooting
• Outstanding interpersonal skills for collaboration across multiple teams
