Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a mid-level Security Engineer to work remotely, the contractor will operate and improve vulnerability management, monitor security systems for incidents, and maintain security tooling while contributing to ISO/IEC 27001 certification efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and enhance vulnerability management processes, including scanning and remediation tracking
• Monitor security systems and logs to detect and respond to security incidents
• Support identity and access management and contribute to ISO/IEC 27001 operations

Required qualifications

• At least three years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or systems administration with a security focus
• Working knowledge of security concepts and tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and EDR
• Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and VPNs
• Experience with identity and access management tools such as Active Directory and SSO/MFA platforms
• Understanding of application-security fundamentals and security compliance frameworks like ISO/IEC 27001
