Security Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the FAA's telecommunications and information management programs, the full-time remote Security Engineer will review and update security documentation and manage the approved software applications list to enhance the nation's aviation system.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update System Characterization Documents, Security Plans, and other security-related documents for Information Security Continuous Monitoring
• Manage the working list of approved software applications and collaborate on the Technology Product Roadmap
• Support federal government programs within the FAA, ensuring compliance and security standards are met

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years of experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
• Ability to travel to FAA or vendor facilities as required
• Experience supporting federal government programs, particularly within the FAA
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident with at least three years of U.S. residency
• Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust clearance
