Security Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Security Engineer who will integrate security into the software development lifecycle, automate security practices, and enhance cloud-native systems to support critical government services.
Key responsibilities
- Integrate security into the software development lifecycle through automation, testing, and continuous improvement
- Identify, investigate, and remediate application and infrastructure vulnerabilities
- Develop tools and automation in Python, Go, or Terraform to improve security and operational visibility
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Experience with application security, DevSecOps, or cloud security
- Familiarity with federal cloud and security requirements (e.g., FISMA)
- Understanding of secure software design and common application vulnerabilities
- Demonstrated experience operating and analyzing systems in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
