Security Engineer

Job Summary

Collaborating closely with the Senior Security Engineer, the full-time remote Security Engineer will operate, tune, and enhance security technologies and processes to protect systems, data, and patients from cybersecurity threats.

Key responsibilities

• Scope, design, and implement security initiatives while participating in peer reviews and contributing to documentation
• Administer and tune core security platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as HITRUST and HIPAA
• Respond to security alerts and incidents, interpreting log outputs and ensuring timely execution of security control initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in roles such as Security Engineer or Information Security Analyst, ideally within the healthcare industry
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Security+
• Experience managing HITRUST and HIPAA requirements
• Familiarity with IT systems including AWS, Microsoft Intune, and EntraID
