Security Engineer II

Job Summary

Supporting day-to-day operations related to security services, the full-time Security Engineer II will manage security initiatives, conduct security reviews, and collaborate with clients and staff to deliver comprehensive security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel on auditing, testing, and implementing security measures for infrastructure systems
• Assist with onboarding new security services and manage the implementation of security requirements within project timelines
• Monitor networks and systems, investigate potential incidents, and document threats and vulnerabilities

Required qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in computer science or 2+ years of equivalent work experience
• Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or GSEC are highly desired
• 2+ years of experience with security monitoring tools and standards
• Knowledge of current protocols, security best practices, and compliance requirements
• Understanding of Risk Management Framework and familiarity with NIST and SANS guidelines
