Security Engineer II

Job Summary

To enhance security for customers, the full-time salaried Security Engineer II will conduct application security reviews and penetration tests, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to security tooling and improvements in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality application security reviews and penetration tests independently or as part of a team
• Create detailed engagement plans and document findings, gaps, and remediation recommendations
• Communicate and collaborate with partner teams, service owners, and senior leadership to resolve security findings

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages
• 2+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review experience in a common programming language
• 2+ years of troubleshooting systems issues and analyzing logs using command line tools
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 2+ years of IT Security experience
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
