Security Engineer, Penetration Testing

Job Summary

To enhance cybersecurity measures, the full-time remote Security Engineer, Penetration Testing will execute offensive security assessments and build defensive engineering controls, leading penetration testing across applications, networks, and cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document penetration tests and vulnerability assessments across various environments
• Translate penetration test findings into actionable security engineering tasks and implement security controls
• Develop and maintain security automation scripts and tooling to enhance detection and monitoring capabilities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on penetration testing and security engineering
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, and Nmap
• Strong understanding of web application vulnerabilities and cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, or equivalent are strongly preferred
