Security Engineer with Public Trust

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Security Engineer / SIEM Engineer to support the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and optimize SIEM platforms and monitoring tools
• Develop and tune detection rules, alerts, and correlation logic to enhance monitoring capabilities
• Collaborate with SOC/NOC teams to improve detection and response capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise cybersecurity and SIEM engineering
• Experience with enterprise SIEM platforms and cloud/hybrid environments
• Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+; CISSP preferred
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell) and knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks
