Security Engineering Intern

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Firefox Security Student Worker.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and advance the TLS stack, Personal Security Manager (PSM), and NSS for Firefox
• Design and implement new web platform features in collaboration with senior leaders and the web community
• Debug and fix platform-specific security issues in a multi-threaded codebase to enhance stability and correctness

Required Qualifications

• Experience with programming in C/C++ or Rust, with knowledge of memory safety and secure software development practices
• Fluency in English and enjoyment of conducting software engineering work in an open environment
• Previous experience with cryptography, compilers, operating system development, or web security is a plus
• Enrollment in a university in Germany and willingness to occasionally visit the office in Berlin
