Security Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of security engineers, the full-time Security Engineering Manager will develop and execute security engineering roadmaps, manage team performance, and enhance security practices in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Leads, hires, develops, and manages security engineers through coaching and performance management
• Develops and maintains security engineering services and controls aligned with business objectives and industry best practices
• Drives adoption of DevSecOps practices and establishes operational metrics to measure the effectiveness of security controls

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, application security, or related domains
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with modern programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, application security principles, and secure software development practices
• Experience with risk assessment, incident management, and security controls aligned with frameworks like NIST CSF or SOC 2
